Thank you for reading and subscribing, it means a lot to me!  It’s been hard getting a blog started off the ground compared to 2009.  I also had more energy back then and no baby to take care of.

Here’s some great reads from around the web to get you started for 2018!

Fin$avvy Panda shares 5 Amazing Money Tips from a Billionaire, aka Warren Buffett. I love Warren Buffett.  We have a box of Kraft Dinner from the Berkshire Hathaway annual general meeting we attended in 2016 that we haven’t opened up yet (it has since expired, but I have a feeling it will still be edible given that it’s made by Kraft and is basically preservatives + pasta haha!).

Damn Millennial is throwing a bit of shade (controversial shade!) at early retirement bloggers, in his post The Early Retirement Blog Movement is a Big Mistake.

Barry Choi writes about Why You Won’t Get a Net Worth Update from him.  I understand that net worth updates have a lot of variability and are subjective (e.g. are people updating their family income?  Are they including the appraised real estate value or not?) but I somehow still enjoy sharing them and enjoy reading them.

My Own Advisor must be clairvoyant because he did pretty well with his 2017 predictions (minus Washington Capitals winning the Stanley Cup).

Dividend Diversify reminds us all to invest in foreign stocks in our asset allocation.  I have just under 25% of my asset allocation invested Internationally.  What’s yours?

Readers, how was your first week of 2018?

  1. Hellooo GYM!

First and foremost, congrats to all of your winners! 😊🤗

Also, thanks so much for the shout!! I appreciate it so so much. Mr. Buffett is truly amazing!

And omgosh! That Kraft dinner box looks sooo cool. If I had one I’d probably keep it for life and never open it!! It looks too cute to be opened. Love how Warren’s holding onto Heinz ketchup and Charlie w/ the Kraft lol!!
